One of Master Builders Victoria’s four values is ‘brave enough to be different,’ we strive for this, like all our values, to best represent our members and industry as we look to empower people to build a better future. Commencing 27 May – 3 June is National Reconciliation Week (NRW), the theme this year is to Be Brave. Make Change.

It is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements. This is a time to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. How do we challenge ourselves and our industry to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for all. MBV supports reconciliation and we have a role to play. We can start to play our part by collectively building relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

Currently MBV is developing its first Reconciliation Action Plan. We are working to develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, and explore our sphere of influence. We realise this is the first step in a journey and will be sharing with you more information as we increase our knowledge and awareness. If you would like to discuss further please contact the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RWG), [email protected].
